Choose by plumbing layout
Center drain and P-trap
An adjustable shelf can place panels on either side of the pipe. A U-shaped pullout can use the area around a central obstruction. Both choices depend on the size and position of the opening around the plumbing. A product photo cannot establish that fit.
Garbage disposal on one side
Treat the disposal, its outlet pipe, cord, and connected hoses as one obstacle envelope. Look for a continuous lane on the other side. A 7.7-inch caddy needs less width than an 11.5-inch two-tier pullout, but the caddy still needs enough depth and a clear route to roll forward.
Low sink bowl or low P-trap
